Digging points

Every pool trade on every Diggers coin scores digging points, automatically, inside the token itself. Points are the pulse of the whole reward layer: they decide who wins the daily pot and who sits on top of the global leaderboard.

The scoring rule

Points are proportional to trade size, measured against the coin's full 1 billion supply. Buying scores at four times the rate of selling: trading a full supply's worth in buys would earn 2 points, while the same amount in sells earns 0.5. In practice: buy 1% of supply and collect 0.02 pts, sell the same and collect 0.005. Simple, linear, impossible to misread.

0 pts0.02 pts0.04 ptsbuy 1% → 0.02 ptssell 1% → 0.005 pts0% of supply1%2%
Same line, four times the slope. Points scale linearly with trade size — the dots mark the worked example at 1% of supply.

Why buys weigh more

Buys are what give a coin life: they add depth, spread supply and push discovery. Sells still score, exits are part of trading, but the 4x tilt means the leaderboard celebrates the diggers filling the mine, not the ones emptying it.

Pool trades only, sybils need not apply

Points credit exclusively on real pool legs: buys and sells against the coin's Uniswap V3 pool. Wallet-to-wallet transfers score nothing. Self-sends score nothing. Shuffling a bag between ten of your own addresses scores exactly zero, because no pool was touched and no fee was paid. The only way to farm points is to genuinely trade, paying the pool fee that funds the very pot you are competing for.

Same-block round-trips earn nothing

Buy and then sell the same amount inside a single block and that matched size scores zero, on both legs. It closes the door on wash trading, sybil loops and flash-loan farming: to earn points you have to actually hold risk, even for a block. Real digging only.

Two clocks, one number

$GEMday 1day 2day 3day 4day 5daily — resets every shiftlifetime — never resets
Five days of digging. The gold sawtooth is your daily count snapping to zero at every settlement; the blue line is your lifetime total — it only knows one direction.

Your points live on two clocks at once. The daily count resets every 24 hours per coin and decides that coin's daily contest: score into the top 10 by the end of the shift and you split the pot. The lifetime count never resets: it compounds across every coin you ever dig, on every chain Diggers runs on, and ranks you on the global Top Diggers board. Summed across all chains, your lifetime points are your $GEM airdrop allocation, your permanent record as a digger.

Why this matters

Most trading rewards are snapshots that favor whoever showed up that week. Digging points are an identity: every honest trade you have ever made is in the number. New coins give everyone a fresh daily fight, while the lifetime board crowns consistency.

FAQ

01What are digging points?

The score of each coin's rolling 24 hour contest — and, summed for life across every coin and chain, your allocation in the $GEM airdrop. Every pool trade earns points proportional to its size: buys score four times more than sells of the same amount.

02Why do buys score more than sells?

The contest rewards accumulation, not churn. Weighting buys at four times sells means the leaderboard favors diggers who bring demand in over wallets cycling the same bag back and forth.

03Do wallet-to-wallet transfers earn points?

No. Only real pool trades score, and a buy that is closed out by an opposite sell in the same block earns nothing on the matched amount. Moving tokens between your own wallets earns nothing either, which keeps the leaderboard sybil- and flash-loan-resistant.

04When do points reset?

The daily contest score resets every 24 hour epoch — today's leaderboard starts from zero for everyone. Your lifetime points, the ones that decide the $GEM airdrop, never reset.
